1/2x3/8" Compression Union

1/2" Compression x 3/8" Compression, Brass, Reducing Union, Lead Free Compliant Product Which Meets Public Law 111-380,Bulk.

This is a compression union that will join a 1/2" outside diameter copper tube to a 3/8" outside diameter copper tube. The terms "union" and "coupling" are interchangeable when referring to this fitting. Plumbers and refrigeration people define soft copper tubing differently. The Plumbers use ID and the HVAC people use OD.

In the Stoneham, MA market, we often sell these to connect an old dishwasher installation where 1/2" OD soft copper was run to the washer. This will reduce the compression size to 3/8". The user could then use a conventional braided stainless steel connector with a 3/8" compression nut on either end. BRjr 12.14
