16 x 20 Window Glass

16" x 20" Single strength window glass. Price includes two cuts to size. Additional cuts or basic shape cuts available at additional charge.

Single Strength is 3/32" or 2.5mm thick. Double Strength is 1/8" or 3.2mm thick. Double Strength is approximately 28% thicker and will deflect less. It is NOT twice as thick as single strength. Double Strength is not in general use, so we don't keep it in the store but can get case quantities on special order.

Our window glass is used for wood and aluminum frame window glazing, picture frames, cabinet doors, and other general purpose uses. It is NOT permitted in hazardous locations like doors or stair well windows.

There are many special purpose glasses. Here are some:

Picture frame glass. Generally thinner than single strength, it can be furnished in non-glare finishes for fine art or archival purposes.

Tempered glass. Used in doors, table tops or critical locations.

Plate glass: Often used for large area windows like store fronts, shelves, glass showcase cabinet doors, table tops, dresser tops, etc.

Special finish, decorative, or colored glass: Can be colored or textured, used in decorative installations, light fixtures, cabinets, etc.
