IF you are old enough to remember the McGuire brand bamboo rake, this is as close to it as you will get. McGuire is long gone. We have had trouble getting bamboo rakes over the past three or four years. It may be a category that Covid business conditions will destroy. Personally, I think the user base for bamboo rakes has diminished to the point where mfgr's and distributors will discontinue bamboo rakes. WHR 10.25.22

There is a certain class of rake users who like the feel and flex of a bamboo rake. It has less give than a plastic rake and is a bit more aggressive pulling thatch from lawns. The bamboo times can be brittle and prone to breakage if you step on the rake or run it over with the car or a lawn cart. Don't let the kids use them; they will destroy bamboo rakes.
