3 Pack, 30A Type TL Time Delay screw-in Plug Fuse

This is a replacement for the old time glass plug fuse. The thread is the same as a medium base or regular light bulb. The old glass fuses had a brass base and a glass housing. The Buss brand TRON fuse has the same size brass base with the thick threads. The fuse housing is ceramic with a metal skin front. The color is green with the type TL , AMP 30, the brand BUSS, and the style name TRON on the top. Your old glass fuse should have the number 30 stamped on the bottom.

It is VERY Important that you do not replace a smaller fuse with a larger fuse. For instance, if your fuse said 15 or 20 amp, it would be DANGEROUS to replace it with a 30a fuse.

The Type TL signifies a time delay before the fuse blows. This would permit a motor in an an air conditioner or refrigerator to start. These device need lots of power to start, then much less to run. The Type TL fuse will permit this temporary condition without blowing but will still blow if there is a short or overload.

You might want to talk with a licensed electrician about this fuse box, especially if you have been blowing fuses. If you are replacing a glass fuse, the fuse box may be decades out of date and should be surveyed for safety or replaced.
