Prevents crabgrass, foxtail, goosegrass, pigweed, and others from sprouting in spring. Prevents poa annua, henbit, and shepherds purse from sprouting in fall. Will not burn grass if used as directed. Clean, lightweight. Active ingredient: Pendimethain. Covers 5000 sq. ft.

This is the "straight" Scotts Halts without any fertilizer. This is used where a lawn feeding is not required. It is also used as a mid-season "booster" to maintain the crabgrass barrier. Traditionally, Halts was used only in the early Spring. Now, two applications per season are suggested, especially when humidity and heat make crabgrass sprout easily. BRjr 04.08.08
